Well what a night. After the very first ballad had been belted out, we just knew it was going to be one of those fantastic nights. With the crowd in Cheers bar Fermoy singing & clapping along, it really was one of those really energetic gigs. When our now notorious rendition of the song “Salonika” began, and after Damien & Evin went in behind the bar with their wireless microphones, the crowd reacted with a rapturous applause and enjoyed every minute of it. At one stage, behind the bar, Damien wasn’t stopping the Bulmers tap from flowing & because of the fact Evin was lying under it with his mouth open and wasn’t stopping drinking from the Bulmers tap, the fear was he could have drowned, so a special thank you has to go to Paul & Mary McNulty (owners) for helping us out there.
A special thank you has to be mentioned to the HealthCare Assistant Trainee’s in training in Fermoy who were on their very first social outing. I was lucky to have been part of this wonderful group & will miss them and their madness, however, luckily they brought this madness to the gig & we had a fantastic night.
Thanks as well to Adrian Nolan for taking all the photos on the night and kindly forwarding them to us. I hope to see him and his new camera at many more gigs to come.
Hopefully there will be more nights like this to come when Gaelic Brew are back playing in Cheers, Fermoy.
