Well Brewers, the time has come to announce some changes within Gaelic Brew. Our drummer Scotty has left Gaelic Brew to join another band. Starting with us 3 years ago in September, and with his unique ability on the drums, Scott helped drive and shape Gaelic Brew’s sound, bringing us into the Genre of Trad-Rock.
Scotty’s first gig with Gaelic Brew was in Cheers Bar, Fermoy, Co. Cork and 3 years later, that’s where it all finished up last night. We’ve had a fun filled whirlwind 3 years together and we’d do it all again. The fun brought us to many new venues around the country, it opened up the door to do weddings, and also helped us capitilise on larger venues and festivals around the country.
The fun didn’t stop just at gigs around the country, we traveled to London, Liverpool, Edinburgh and last March we celebrated St Patrick’s Day playing in West Palm Beach, Florida. Sight seeing, gigging and having craic made these band trips very memorable and amongst the funniest times we’ve ever had together. Our sides were split open from laughing so hard when either sharing bunk-beds with 4 to the room to sleeping in the van or on mattresses.
We wish Scott all the very very best of luck with the new band and thank him for the last 3 years and for helping shape Gaelic Brew into what it is today.
So as not to cause any panic, there is a new drummer after starting with Gaelic Brew (who happens to be called Evin as well) so it is business as usual for Gaelic Brew.
